I come from a small family, in a pretty small town. Growing up, we all put on our Sunday best and spend the majority of the day at church. I have a TON of memories there, from old ladies teaching me how to crochet to tripping and busting my head open on a church pew. (I still have that scar!) Even though the church I'm part of now is much less traditional, I still enjoy dressing up smart for a sunday service!

Have I mentioned how much I LOVE this jacket?! No? Okay well imma tell you, haha! I wear this thing nearly every day. It's so versatile! (I actually went BACK to Primark and got another pastel duster in a different colour...but it'll be featured soon enough!) This time I paired my jacket with a nice floral blouse, and a fun black pencil skirt with a mesh panel. I really love the detail on this skirt, because it makes the outfit a bit less serious and a bit more edgy!

I've had this statement necklace for aaages! I'm sure I scored it at Primark for a pound or something else ridiculously cheap. I've gotten so much use out of it! You can see that the wind had my layers all disheveled, but I still like how the necklace adds a bit of bling to the pastel shades in this ensemble.

I'm not sure if you can see them, but I always wear a wee pair of shorts (or shapewear) under my skirts to keep from getting that awful thigh chaffing. Call it "chub rub," call it what you want, nobody likes that business! I've found that shorts or shapewear have been really effective, particularly in such a windy city! They protect me from having a Marilyn Monroe skirt moment, as well as protecting me from that awful chub rub!
