I can't believe I've already been married a fortnight! Things have just been amazing, and we're both really loving newlywed life! Because there are SO many photos, I thought it would be easiest to split them into separate posts, and I hope you enjoy this first one all about gitting glammed up for the big day!
Feel free to check out these posts for more thorough details about my dress and shoes! I had looked into getting a fresh bouquet, but it made more sense for us to go with faux flowers instead. It was more cost effective, and they make a gorgeous souvenir of the event! My beautiful friend Beth and I created the bouquet with bits & bobs from Hobby Craft and I'm super pleased with the way it turned out!
I called in my babely friend Lauren for makeup, and she did an amazing job! She created a bridal look for me using Urban Decay's Naked 3 Palette, Sleek Makeup's brow kit, and Jeffree Star's Redrum lippy. If you've never tried Redrum, do yourself a favour and buy it RIGHT NOW! It's the absolute best red I've ever used!
I did my own hair for the wedding, and I wanted a vintage inspired look that was flowy to match the feel of my dress. I slept with pincurls the night before, and put two victory rolls at the front! Oh, and because I've had sooooo many questions about it, this is a Marks and Spencer dressing gown! If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I wear it like, ALL the time!
My Mum & Dad gifted me with the most beautiful wee earrings for the wedding. They're so small and so sparkley and they made me feel super polished for the ceremony!
All dressed up and ready to go! Scott sent me some goofy messages to help with my nerves, so that must have been what I was laughing at!
All photos by Lianne Mackay Photography. Lianne is a dear friend of mine, and I can't recommend her enough. She's Edinburgh based and photographs much more than weddings!
Be sure to check out her website, Facebook, Instagram, and blog!
