WHAT I WORE: RAINY DAYS

23 Jul 2015

In typical Edinburgh fashion it's gorgeous and sunny when I'll be indoors working all day, and it's rainy and bleak when I need to be out and about running errands. Classic Scotland!

This was my look for a day with a big to-do list, including an appointment at the American Consulate to OFFICIALLY change my passport surname from my maiden name to my married name! Sure, it sucks that it costs £70 (even though it didn't expire for another FIVE YEARS) and will take 4-6 weeks for delivery, but I'm so excited because my name will actually be changed!

Even though it's constantly rainy, I never seem to pack an umbrella, and I never wear a coat. I know it's vain and superficial, but THIS is the look I've chosen for the day, you know? I don't want to cover it up with a bulky coat! Instead I opt for dresses in fabrics that dry SUPER quickly, and a hat to protect my hair from rainy day frizz!

I know these shoes aren't the most practical for rain either, but they're the comfiest shoes I own! Plus, the platform keeps me further away from the puddles, and thanks to all that rubber my feet rarely get wet!

How do YOU dress for rainy weather? Do you layer up, or dress for the weather you want, rather than the weather you have? Let me know in the comments below!

Shop the look:

Dress: Red Herring in the Debenhams sale

Hat: H&M

Shoes: Vagabond
