UK based plus size fashion blogger AmandaApparel shares her favourite secondhand dress in a fabulous dark floral print scored from The Curve Fashion Festival clothing swap!

One of these days I'll be able to write a blog post without mentioning The Curve Fashion Festival...but today is NOT that day! I was fortunate to grab a few items at the clothing swap on the day, and this dress is my current fave!

The dress is made by South, which is available at Very.co.uk. After a wee browse trying to find this dress (unsuccessfully, it's from a previous season) I've found that they unfortunately only go up to a size 24. But, we can't always trust the size on the tag! This bodycon is only a size 20, and it fits me perfectly! I generally wear a size 22-24 depending on the cut/fit of the garment. I usually opt for a 26 if I want something to be oversized like a shirt dress or a loose fitting top. You know the material that brands call "crepe" or "waffle" fabric? That's what this is made of and I love it! It's stretchy, but not so stretchy that the pattern goes thin over my wider curves. Don't you just hate when that happens?!

I can't get enough of this dress, you guys! I love the short length. I love the sleeves. I love it with a belt. I love it with a jacket. I just love it! The colours look really good with the odd pink and purple strands in my hair from over toning, haha! This last photo really captures how powerful and unstoppable I feel in the dress. I mean, it's a straight up Beyoncé pose! You can't argue with that!

Shop the look:
