What I Wore: Polka Dot Playsuit

26 Oct 2015

UK based plus size fashion blogger AmandaApparel mixes inverted polka dot patterns in this outfit post featuring secondhand, sustainable fashion.

Some of you may know that money has been reeeeeeally tight lately. Delayed student loan deposits are no joke! So, charity shops have been my BFF. Anything to pinch pennies, ya know?

Now let me start off by admitting that this is a V E R Y different look for me! But you know what? I was really feeling it! I love a monochrome, and I love the elegance of this outfit!

Secondly, I should admit that this is not actually a playsuit. It's two polka dot separates! The top was bought secondhand from Pretty Big Butterflies, and the I picked up the bottoms from The Curve Fashion Festival clothes swap! Actually, if any other plus size bloggers are reading this, do you know whose these were originally? I'd love to thank them and let them know that their trousers have gone to a new home!

I actually can't wait to wear this look again! I felt so fierce and fabulous with this bow! It's one of those accessories that just MAKES the outfit, ya know? Usually I'd wear it in my hair, but I'm glad I opted for the pussy bow option. I would have loved to wear some taller shoes with this, but unfortunately the trousers are a bit short when I wear them high waisted. But I mean, I've GOT to wear them high waisted, right? I certainly think so!
