What I Wore: Quilted Coat**

30 Oct 2015

UK based plus size fashion blogger AmandaApparel wears a gorgeous black quilted coat in this outfit post, brought to you by Curvissa

I know it's been pretty rainy and miserable recently, but I'm SO pleased that it's layering season! Scarves, cardigans, jackets, yesssss! It is time to LAYER THE HECK UP!!! Okay, Amanda. Calm down. Play it cool. Here we go!

I love a jacket that isn't very bulky. I hate feeling like I'm weighed down by a big coat, ya know? Plus who needs all that sweating? Not me! I'm all about lightweight jackets and coats that are well insulated, so I can look cute without roasting on cold days.

Plus I LOVE the mixed textures of this jacket! The quilted arms and details mixed with the plainly textured body breaks up the black in a very stylish way. Other than the quilting, my favourite detail is the length. I haaaate when my coat covers my whole outfit! Like, I chose this look for a reason, ya know? I'd rather incorporate my outerwear into the look like I've done here.

In the photos I'm wearing a size 22. In this size I'm unable to zip the front, but this is absolutely not a problem for me. I prefer to leave the coat open, and belt it if necessary. That's my personal preference, but I'd be able to fasten it if I had sized up to a 24.

Check out how long my hair is getting! For this look I styled a flirty, floral dress with a LOT of black. The dress has a lot of dark floral elements to it, so it wasn't too juxtaposed.  I like the idea of a pretty, twirly dress brightening a gloomy day. Also, can we TALK about my victory rolls?! Probably the biggest & best ones I've ever done, so plz appreciate them with me, thx!
