What I Wore: MandM Direct Lookbook**

6 Mar 2016

UK plus size fashion blogger AmandaApparel shares a transitional winter to spring look book in this style post brought to you by MandM Direct

I was recently contacted by MandM Direct because they have  newly added plus ranges! The discount site offers prices up to 70% off, and now carries plus brands Bravesoul and Junarose. The plus size section ranges from size 16-24, which is a step in the right direction, but still excludes a lot of plus size shoppers. Hopefully MandM Direct will consider expanding these sizes in the near future.

Because it's starting to warm up outside, FINALLY, I wanted to do a wee winter-to-spring lookbook. These outfits have layers that can be removed or substituted on warm days, and could also be layered on top of for more chilly days.

Look One:

Junarose Top

Bravesoul Cardigan

Junarose Jeans

Brown bag, sold out. Similar here.

As you can tell by my glasses, this is a perfect outfit for uni. I really love the pattern of this top! These jeans are a slim cut, and I prefer a SUPER skinny cut. Like, I want my jeans to be difficult to get out of, you know what I mean? I've styled them with knee high boots, because I love the fit from the knee up. This cardigan is cosy, and has POCKETS! Need I say more?

Look Two:

Bravesoul Cape

Who doesn't love a good cape, amirite? I'm a big fan of the monochrome tartan trim, and the fringe is very cute. I paired this with a pencil skirt to dress it up a bit, but it would also pair very well with a pair of jeans, jeggings, or leggings for a more casual look. This is a cute and comfy look that I would wear to run errands, or meet a friend for coffee. In colder weather I coud add tights and boots under the skirt, and in warmer weather I could swap the turtleneck for a vest or tee shirt.

Look Three:

Junarose Dress

I am a BIG fan of this dress, you guys! I love wearing blue because it makes my eyes really P-O-P! The pattern is super cute, and I like the dark trim around the neck and sleeves. I would wear this outfit to meet the in-laws for dinner. It has a casual chic element that feels just dressy enough without being too stuffy. I will warn you though, this dress is SUPER thin. I wish it had lining, or a removable slip underneath. Definitely a perk for the hot summer months though!

Look Four:

Bravesoul Jumper

Can you tell I feel sassy in this outfit? The sass level is through the roof in this look! I've styled the jumper with monochromatic maroon and added leopard accessories for some visual interest. I like wearing monochrome colours with varying textures. As you can see, the pleated skirt is pleather, the jumper is a boxy knit, and the hat is wool. I would definitely wear this for a girls night out!
