What I Wore: River Island Plus

27 May 2016

UK plus size fashion blogger AmandaApparel wears a beautifully patterned dress from River Island Plus in this outfit post.

Well hello, old friends! Long time no blog, eh? I'm planning a wee 'Since I've Been Gone' type blog post, but since my last blog post was VERY personal, I wanted to keep the next few lighthearted. So, here's an outfit post!

Scott and I recently had a lovely day out at The National Museum of Scotland. We went there on our first date, and it's fun going back from time to time. Plus, it makes SUCH a pretty backdrop, don't you think?

I've been really impressed with the pieces in the River Island Plus range thus far. I love how frequently they post new items, and the pieces are very true to size. The pieces are BEAUTIFUL and there is a good balance between basics and trendy garments. I know that this is a new range, but I do hope that in the near future they expand the size range which is currently only catering to 18-24.

Because of the length of this dress, I definitely think heels are required. I tried this look with flats, but the silhouette just wasn't quite right you know? The dress came with a matching patterned D-ring belt, but I opted for a skinny black belt to add a bit of contrast. I just feel SO GOOD in this outfit you guys.

While I've got your attention, I want to thank you for your patience. It's been difficult getting back into the swing of blogging after sharing my abuse story. Thanks so much to everyone who has sent me encouraging messages, and thanks to those who simply took the time to read my story. You all mean so much to me, and I'm so grateful!
