UK plus size fashion blogger AmandaApparel wears a lush autumn floral maxi dress in this outfit post featuring pieces from Simply Be.
Maxi dresses are a summer wardrobe staple. They have that boho effortlessly chic vibe that festival fashion is all about. But why should maxis only be worn in the warmer seasons? I mean, they're longer which can mean added warmth, right? Apparently long sleeved maxi dresses are my THING now, haha!
Remember my recent Flirty in Floral outfit post? That maxi had a pretty (read: VERY) low neckline. Like, cleavage city! This one has a collar and buttons all the way up.

As you can see above, Iskra has been styled with the dress unbuttoned up to the thigh. I've done the same, but you can't really tell in my photos because it wasn't conveniently windy lol. Iskra also appears to be styled with a short black slip dress. I opted for black anti-chaffing shorts instead.
When you look at images of the dress in the advert or on the website, you don't really get a feel for what the texture is like. I thought it would be sort of a matte texture, but it's actually smooth and silky with lace detailing on the arms and chest. It also looks rather sheer in the advert, but doesn't appear as sheer in real life. Light does show through it though if it's bright enough.
I love the different shades of pink in this dress, as well as the pops of blue and yellow. I don't really have any blue or yellow accessories, but I paired the dress with a pink faux fur stole and a raspberry lip colour. I am LOVING this look, you guys! I hope you're into it too!
