Tech Talk: Style In Music with Gearooz

22 Nov 2016

UK plus size fashion blogger AmandaApparel discusses the intersection of fashion and music in this tech talk post in collaboration with Gearooz.

As an events management student, I’m always interested in the ways different aspects can come together and make something truly memorable. Fashion and music are constantly coming together to create iconic moments. I dunno about you, but I’m a sucker for an infographic!

Gearooz have developed this fab infographic documenting fashion trends in music. I LOVE how they included looks from Beyoncé and Daft punk from the late 90s. I’m a 90s girl at heart, and I’m a big fan of the fashion of that decade.

Lady Gaga is one of the most interesting artists included because she’s just SO visual! I mean, how many other people have you seen wear an outfit made of police tape, or meat?!

I had a wee giggle checking out the Justin Bieber section. As the years progress he wears less and less clothing! He goes from fully covered in multiple layers to no sleeves to no shirt at all. He’s a fan of the accessories that one.

I am SO here for Daft Punk’s looks though. Their cameo in Tron Legacy gave me L-I-F-E! Their matching suits and helmets are just timeless to me.

I think I would have included Nicki Minaj and maybe Demi Lovato in this list. I’m a big fan of both of their styles, and they’re both super visual as well! Who would you like to add?
