Brand Crush: In The Style Curve

14 Dec 2016

UK plus size fashion blogger AmandaApparel shares her fave pieces from a recently launched curve range in this brand crush post featuring In The Style.

In The Style is a fashion brand that’s been around since 2013. They feature celebrity collaborative ranges with Charlotte Crosby, Billie Faiers, and Binky Felstead. Now, I am a big fan of Made In Chelsea, and Binky is my absolute favourite! In November I was THRILLED to learn that they were launching a plus size range, (including pieces from Binky’s range!!!) from sizes 16-28. The collection launched on 01 December, and I’ve already made one purchase!

Here are a few ways that I think In The Style got it right:

  1. The items in the curve range are the same as the items in the core range. They took seemingly top sellers and crafted them for the plus size consumer. WHY haven’t more brands done this? Take New Look, they never have the same items in their core range as in their curve range. Honestly, I just want the same options as my thinner friends. In The Style has really delivered, and I’m so pleased!

  2. The curve range has its own tab in the menu, so it’s easy to find. However, for example if I click on Binky’s collection, her items from the curve range are also listed there. The site is very user friendly for their plus customers, which is a nice change from other sites I could think of.

  3. THE PLUS SIZE ITEMS COST THE SAME AS THE STRAIGHT SIZE ITEMS!!!!!

These are the pieces currently at the top of my wish list:

Camouflage Print Oversized Tea Dress

Plus Size | Straight Size

This is a fresh take on camouflage, and it looks very cool. I’d style this piece with a biker jacket and chelsea boots. I’d accessorise with a long silver necklace and a dark red lipstick.

Black Lace Sleeve Bardot Swing Dress

Plus Size | Straight Size

The lace detail on the sleeves is just gorgeous! I’d pair this with big sparkly earrings, a lush pink lip, and strappy black heels.

Floral Bardot Swing Dress

Plus Size | Straight Size

I really like the ditsy floral print on this dress. The tie details are super cute as well. I’d like to style them with sheer polka dotted tights for a bit of pattern mixing. I’d also add patent black flats, and a grey choker like the one Binky is wearing above.

Burgundy Pleated Swing Dress

Plus Size | Straight Size

I’ve actually already purchased this dress, and it arrived SUPER quickly! At no extra cost to myself, I received the item on a Sunday which was a nice surprise. I hope and assume I’ll love the dress, but just in case In The Style have all the details you need for returns in a nice little branded envelope, including peel & stick labels for free returns.

I’m honestly very impressed with In The Style. I admit my experience with them has been brief, but I’m impressed nonetheless. The brand also has separate social media accounts dedicated to promoting their curve range. You can find them on Twitter and Instagram. I’m certainly looking forward to further curve collections for sure!
